What can I do with Echoes & Threads?

What does the home-screen widget show?
The Recent Echo widget shows your most recent echo from someone who isn't archived: their name, a short excerpt and the kind of moment. Anyone who can see your home screen can see it, so remove the widget if you'd rather keep it private.
How do reminders work?
Echoes & Threads can remind you on a person's birthday and nudge you to check in when a connection has gone quiet for a while. Turn Check-in nudges on or off in each person's details. Reminders arrive only if you allow notifications for the app.
Can I set someone aside without deleting them?
Yes. Open the person, tap the menu and choose Move to Archive. Their echoes are kept but they no longer appear on your map or in the widget. To bring them back, go to the Archive tab, touch and hold them, and choose Restore to Map.
Who are the people already in the app?
They are sample people and echoes that show how the app works. You can edit, archive or delete them.
Do I need an account?
No. Echoes & Threads works without signing in.
Where is my data kept?
On your device. We don’t have a copy, so we can’t recover it if you delete the app; keep your device backed up.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting Echoes & Threads from your device removes what it keeps in its own storage.
