Petrichor Privacy Policy
In short
- Data not collected. Petrichor doesn’t send your personal information to us or to anyone else. What you enter stays on your device.
- No tracking and no ads. Petrichor doesn’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites and doesn’t show ads.
- No analytics or crash-reporting services are built in.
- No account: you don’t sign in, and we don’t know who you are.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Who we are
Petrichor (“Petrichor: Relaxation & Sleep” on the App Store) is published by Marketgence Technologies LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Petrichor on your iPhone or iPad. Questions: support@marketgence.com.
What stays on your device
Petrichor keeps these on your device, in the app’s own storage that other apps can’t read:
- Favourite soundscapes and saved affirmations, and the affirmation themes you chose.
- Your practice record: streak, sessions, minutes per day and finished journeys.
- Your last sleep recipe, breathing pace, reminder and wake-alarm settings.
- A record of your Premium purchase, kept in the device Keychain.
We don’t receive this information and can’t see it.
Like other app data, it may be included in your device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you use them.
What leaves your device
Nothing that identifies you. Petrichor doesn’t send your personal information to us or to third parties. In App Store terms, the app’s privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.
Services we use
These outside services receive data from Petrichor to make it work. Each handles that data under its own privacy policy.
- Pixabay (cdn.pixabay.com)
- Hosts the soundscape audio files the app streams when you play a sound (or when the wake alarm uses a soundscape). What it receives: Only the normal request data needed to stream the file, such as your IP address. No account, identifier or usage information is sent. Permissions
Petrichor asks for these only when you use the feature that needs them. You can change your answer at any time in the Settings app.

Tracking, ads and analytics
Petrichor doesn’t track you: it doesn’t link information about you with information from other companies’ apps, websites or data brokers, and it doesn’t use an advertising identifier.
Petrichor doesn’t show ads.
It has no analytics or crash-reporting services. If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may share crash reports with us; Apple doesn’t include your identity.
Accounts
There are no accounts in Petrichor. You don’t sign in or give us your name or email address.
Purchases
Petrichor offers auto-renewable subscriptions and one-time purchases through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment and knows what you bought; we don’t receive your name, email address or payment details. The app checks what you’ve bought on your device with Apple’s StoreKit. Apple’s Privacy Policy applies to the purchase.
Children
Petrichor isn’t directed at children under 13, and it doesn’t collect personal information from anyone.
How long data is kept, and deleting it
Information on your device stays until you delete it. Deleting Petrichor removes the information it keeps in its own storage on your device; copies in your backups remain until you delete those. If you've bought something, a random purchase identifier that the app keeps in the iOS Keychain can stay on the device after the app is deleted, so your purchases can be matched again; it doesn't identify you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have the right to know what information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct or delete it, and to object to how it’s used. Because Petrichor keeps your information on your device, you can see, change and delete it in the app. To make a request or a complaint, email support@marketgence.com. You can also contact your local data-protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Petrichor handles information, we’ll update this page and its effective date, and list the change below.
- : First version on apps.marketgence.com. It replaces the earlier policy on the rork.live web page. That page said preferences could be cleared in the app; there is no single in-app control for this, so this version says to delete the app to remove everything.
