Lumière Vanity Privacy Policy
In short
- Lumière Vanity keeps your information on your device. Some data leaves your device only for the features described under “What leaves your device”, and only when you use them.
- No tracking and no ads. Lumière Vanity doesn’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites and doesn’t show ads.
- No analytics or crash-reporting services are built in.
- No account: you don’t sign in, and we don’t know who you are.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Who we are
Lumière Vanity is published by Marketgence Technologies LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Lumière Vanity on your iPhone or iPad. Questions: support@marketgence.com.
What stays on your device
Lumière Vanity keeps these on your device, in the app’s own storage that other apps can’t read:
- Your products, routines, routine history, looks, skin logs, reaction logs and settings (saved as files in the app's private storage).
- Photos you attach to products, looks and skin check-ins (a copy is kept in the app's private storage).
- Your optional display name, skin type and skin concerns.
- A record of your Lumière Plus purchase, kept in the device Keychain.
We don’t receive this information and can’t see it.
Like other app data, it may be included in your device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you use them.

Services we use
These outside services receive data from Lumière Vanity to make it work. Each handles that data under its own privacy policy.
- Open Beauty Facts (world.openbeautyfacts.org)
- Open, community-run product database used to fill in a scanned product's details. What it receives: The barcode number and a fixed app name in the request header; like any website, it also sees the normal request data such as your IP address. No account, device identifier or other stash content is sent. When you scan a barcode or look up a typed code.
- Open Food Facts (world.openfoodfacts.org)
- Fallback product database, used when Open Beauty Facts has no match. What it receives: The barcode number and a fixed app name in the request header, plus the normal request data such as your IP address. Only when Open Beauty Facts has no result or fails.
- Product image host named by the database
- Shows the product picture on the scan result card. What it receives: Only the normal request data (such as your IP address) needed to download the picture from the address the database returned. When a lookup finds a product that has a picture.
Permissions
Lumière Vanity asks for these only when you use the feature that needs them. You can change your answer at any time in the Settings app.

Tracking, ads and analytics
Lumière Vanity doesn’t track you: it doesn’t link information about you with information from other companies’ apps, websites or data brokers, and it doesn’t use an advertising identifier.
Lumière Vanity doesn’t show ads.
It has no analytics or crash-reporting services. If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may share crash reports with us; Apple doesn’t include your identity.
Accounts
There are no accounts in Lumière Vanity. You don’t sign in or give us your name or email address.
Purchases
Lumière Vanity offers auto-renewable subscriptions and one-time purchases through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment and knows what you bought; we don’t receive your name, email address or payment details. The app checks what you’ve bought on your device with Apple’s StoreKit. Apple’s Privacy Policy applies to the purchase.
Children
Lumière Vanity isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
How long data is kept, and deleting it
Information on your device stays until you delete it. You can delete it in the app: Account ▸ Delete All Data (removes every product, routine, look, skin log, reaction, photo and setting from the device). Deleting Lumière Vanity removes the information it keeps in its own storage on your device; copies in your backups remain until you delete those. If you've bought something, a random purchase identifier that the app keeps in the iOS Keychain can stay on the device after the app is deleted, so your purchases can be matched again; it doesn't identify you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have the right to know what information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct or delete it, and to object to how it’s used. Because Lumière Vanity keeps your information on your device, you can see, change and delete it in the app. To make a request or a complaint, email support@marketgence.com. You can also contact your local data-protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Lumière Vanity handles information, we’ll update this page and its effective date, and list the change below.
- : First Lumière-specific policy on apps.marketgence.com. It replaces the general marketgence.com/privacy page linked before, and states plainly that barcode lookups send the barcode number to Open Beauty Facts or Open Food Facts and that the product picture they return is loaded from the internet.
